Dental Implants

Are you embarrassed to smile because you have missing teeth? You do not have to worry about not smiling with confidence again with the wonders of dental implants. Our team loves your smile, and we want you to love it too!

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth. They are titanium posts that are surgically anchored into the jawbone.

There are three components of a dental implant:

  • The Implant Post: Made from titanium, this screw is anchored to the bone structure of the jaw and acts as the “root” of your new tooth.
  • An Abutment: This middle piece is placed onto the post and is used to hold the dental crown to the implant.
  • Dental Crown: Also known as a “restoration,” this is the visible part of the implant which has the appearance of a real tooth.

Treatment

We will perform a complete oral exam and analyze your oral health and your teeth, bite and state. If you require bone grafting, this will be completed before your dental implant procedure. If your jawbone needs to be strengthened with artificial bone material, bone grafting is essential as it provides the foundation for the implant.

After a healing period of three months, your dental implant will be placed in the jawbone. After this heals, the abutment and dental crown will be placed on top.
