Morgan Coakley, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Morgan Coakley was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. After attending the University of Florida to study microbiology, she always knew health care was in her future. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University. Finally, after eight years in Chicago (including a Cubs World Series), she came to her senses and moved back home to sunny South Florida.

As a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Coakley is motivated to stay on top of new dental technology and research.
Dr. Coakley and her caring team are dedicated to educating, treating and maintaining patients’ optimal oral health. She strives to provide excellent dental care in a comfortable, friendly environment where patients always leave with a smile!

On the weekends, you can find her anywhere near the water, traveling, and cheering on her beloved Florida Gators!

Valentina Mata Baez, DMD

Periodontist

Dr. Valentina Mata Baez grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the United States in 2000 to finish high school. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Florida Atlantic University, she attended Nova Southeastern University (NSU) to obtain her DMD degree. Following graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, becoming proficient in all areas of dentistry. She discovered her passion for surgery and decided to specialize in periodontics and implant dentistry at NSU for three more years.

During her specialty, Dr. Baez focused on regenerative procedures that help the body make new bone, ligaments and cementum so healthy teeth and gums can be maintained. Her training was also focused on treating peri-implantitis (bone loss around implants) and the growth of bone for future implant placement. Additionally, she trained in root recession coverage, using donor tissue to avoid a second surgical site, as well as using the patient’s own blood to improve soft tissue healing.

Besides receiving clinical training in periodontics and implant placement, she focused her research on bone cell growth around different types of implant surfaces. She took special courses such as the completion of oral and plastic surgery on soft tissue grafting for teeth and implants.

Even with all her training, the most gratifying part of Dr. Mata’s job is when patients tell her that she has improved their quality of life.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new places and going to the beach. She is also an animal lover.

Mireyma

Registered Dental Hygienist

Dental hygiene has not only been rewarding but is also my passion. My career in the dental field began as a dental assistant. This is where I started to love dentistry. I practiced as a dental assistant for about two years and then decided to go to hygiene school. It is imperative for me to stay current with the latest information about dental hygiene to provide the best possible treatment, and I do this by attending continuing education courses. I have had the pleasure of practicing as a dental hygienist for over eight years and enjoy my career every passing day. I am delighted to be a member of the Palms Dental Care team and work with a great group of professionals!
