Will I need a dental extraction?
At Palms Dental Care, we only extract teeth as a last resort when other treatments fail or when your other teeth are at risk.
- Extractions due to disease
- Wisdom teeth extractions
- Orthodontic extractions
Before we decide to remove a tooth, we will examine it to determine if a root canal, dental crown, or other restorative treatment can provide enough stability to prolong its life.
If a dental restoration can save your tooth, we will go over your options so that you can make an educated choice about the future of your smile.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation
We will invite you to our Lake Worth dental office for a full evaluation to determine if a dental extraction is necessary. A comprehensive exam an x-rays will provide us with the information we need. If you do require an extraction, we can do so comfortably and even use an innovative anesthetic technique called DentalVibe that makes anesthetic much more comfortable.
Replacing Missing Teeth
Unless you have extractions for orthodontic purposes or wisdom teeth removed, we will recommend that you replace your missing tooth to prevent your remaining teeth from shifting.
- Dental implants
- Fixed dental bridges
- Partial dentures
- Complete dentures
